Salesforce Integration Online Training

Salesforce Integration is the process of bringing multiple systems together, which offers you to streamline separate processes. Think of cases in your own technology stack in which information is kept in one system but also needed in another. By combining them, you can easily control all that information through several business processes that run across multiple systems.

Salesforce Integration Architecture types:
 Point-to-point integration: Also known as one-to-one integration, a point-to-point
system combination sends a message to another system via a 1-1 relationship.
 Hub-and-spoke integration: With hub-and-spoke integration, you have a unified hub
system that eases communication between the systems.
 Enterprise Service Bus integration (ESB): Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) marks the
extension of the hub-and-spoke integration architecture model.

Patterns in Salesforce Integration:
Patterns are abstract they are just conceptual. Based on your integration needs, you can
identify the pattern and each of them has a host of best practices to enable you identify
what is the optimal capability for you to use.
There are three approaches:
 Data integration: You are integrating the information utilize by the systems, like
inserting data, updating data etc.
 Process integration: These are ways of combining the process functionality against
more than one system. For instance, if you want to do billing automatically from an
external system once an Opportunity is won in Salesforce.
 Virtual integration: Salesforce can link with data that lives in another system without
the requirement to replicate that in Salesforce. This is always triggered from
something that happens in Salesforce, like a user search or running a report.
